Founder Story
BEN WOLDHUIS
Founder and Director
I believe in green energy and find it crazy that more people don’t have solar, given our abundant sunlight in Australia. My goal is to make solar energy accessible and effective, ensuring as many people as possible can enjoy both financial savings and environmental benefits.
I’ve always had a passion for solving problems and helping people. After starting my career as a mechanic, I soon moved into civil work, joining my father in tasks like excavating and concreting. When my family and I moved to Geurie, I became a trade assistant and then a linesman at Essential Energy.
Wanting to get more involved, I completed my electrician trade certificate by attending TAFE at night while working on the side to support my family. I saw a need for reliable electrical services in our community, which led me to start doing electrical work locally.
After moving to Dubbo, I advanced into high voltage systems and secondary protection roles. However, I soon felt the need to offer more personalised solutions, which drove me to start Divelec almost a decade ago, focusing on solar installations.
I’m committed to providing quality systems that save money and lower our carbon footprint. I continuously strive to improve and offer the best solutions for our community, helping others achieve energy efficiency and sustainability.

Cameron
First year apprentice
Growing up on a family farm near Dubbo, Cameron has always appreciated the rural lifestyle and the genuine people it attracts. His interest in electrical work was sparked during a work experience stint, leading him to pursue this career path.
Cameron enjoys solving problems and seeing installations come to life, striving to deliver successful outcomes for our customers.
